Like most machinery, dust collection equipment becomes obsolete.> Newer, more efficient models supplant older units; normal wear and tear take their toll, and stiffer codes and regulations for environmental control systems require more collection ability than older collection equipment can handle.

But when you have one of the older mechanical shaker, or reverse air collectors, upgrading dust collection efficiency can be a major item of capital expenditure, requiring removal of the old dust collector and installation of new, usually larger units. This often means new ducting and extensive renovation of plant facilities. Many times the expense required discourages replacement.

But now, there's a way you can achieve the efficiency of a new dust collector at about half the cost.

To upgrade your old dust collector, just replace the core.
Flex-Kleen will inspect the shell, hopper and dust handling equipment to assure they're in good repair and recommend replacements of components if necessary. We'll provide a detailed plan and project schedule that will insure completion of the installation with an absolute minimum of down time. Then, we'll take out the existing internal components and install new Flex-Kleen core-frames, manifolds headers and bag suspension hardware. We'll also modify the top, if it fits your needs, by installing a walk-in clean air plenum if there's room, or lift-up doors if there isn't. The Flex-Kleen core, with more cloth area, increases collection efficiency. You retain the hoppers, steel shell, duct-work, and all discharge mechanisms. We'll engineer the hook-up to the plant compressed air supply necessary to run the Flex-Kleen pulse jet system.

Flex-Kleen will supply engineering and materials, plus erection supervision, if desired. Installation of the core is relatively simple and often can be installed with in-plant equipment and personnel.
